about.
I feel most in touch with myself and my outside world within the context of dance, both in process and performance. This specific lens of kinesthetic thinking, seeing, and feeling, allows me to better understand myself and the very strange and surprising ways that life unfolds around me. Movement is vital to every interaction -- the way I converse with people, hold myself in public and private spaces, rest, express, and engage with my surroundings.
I love the mundane -- the hilarious and fascinating display of everyday shared experiences. I am drawn to the functionality of humans moving in space together, building a world with their own bodies. Original song, text, and silliness bring me joy!
Originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Madeline studied at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance.
